E. Donations:
Mark Staron mentioned the 3rd, 4th & 5th graders were #1 in the State on their proficiency test and because of all the things Hinckley Preparatory Academy does for the Chamber, we should do something for the students. We still need someone to head donations

6. SPOTLIGHTING OUR MEMBERS
Please see Nancy Mandilakis to be put on the speaker rotation for 2026.
George Hoose with Edward Jones will be our speaker in December.
Nancy passed around a sign-up sheet for speakers in 2026.
Ron Wayda from the Hinckley Car Club was our speaker in November.
Ron has lived in Hinckley for 40 years and has been very involved in the community.
The Hinckley Car Club’s Mission Statement is:
To provide a social organization for those passionate about automobiles & motorcycles including restoration, modification and promotion of classic, antique and specialty vehicles.
In 2021 a group of 5 local car fanatics decided to form a social club. The club is designed to be a vehicle to bring people together with the same interest and promote good will within the community. Our main goal is to raise funds for charitable purposes. The funds shall be raised by, but not limited to, car shows, car cruises and other events. Their car show at the Brooklyn Exchange Cabin had 70 cars.
They raised $10,250 this year for Make-A-Wish and their Stuff a Truck items go to animal shelters.
They now have 73 members. Membership is $25.00 and the meeting at town hall is the 2nd Tuesday of the month in February-October at 6:30pm. You don’t have to have a classic car or be from Hinckley.
7. Old Business
A. Hinckley Halloween – Saturday, October 25, 2025 (4:00pm-6:00pm)-

Decorating at the Hinckley Preparatory Academy will start on Thursday, December 4. The HWC will be reading a book about an ornament to take with them. They are planning on using a Fire Truck and all volunteers should arrive about 4:30 and park behind the right side of the building.

8. New Business
a. The VP & Secretary terms are up at the end of the year. The position duties were shown on the screen and anyone interested in either of those positions should contact Mark Staron no later than November 15th.
b. Copies of the Bylaws were available and questions were addressed. Chamber leadership can spend up to $500.00 to conduct Chamber business and events without going to membership as was decided by a vote of membership. Anyone who qualified (per the bylaws - Amanda, Eric and Trish) were asked if they were interested in running for 2025 leadership but declined, Jim Bialosky hadn’t been a member long enough at that time to qualify. A copy of the Articles of Incorporation were available to read (it was discovered that need to make Mark a statutory agent).
c. Kati White suggested that our December Holiday luncheon should be catered by the Medina Vocational Center. There was agreement and Denise is getting a catering menu from them.
d. Amanda Pfahl suggested that we collect food items for Feeding Medina. They need canned tuna & chicken, peanut butter, frozen meat, laundry detergent. Everyone agreed. Items can be dropped off at Amanda’s State Farm office or brought on the day of our December meeting (especially refrigerated or frozen items). Amanda will be delivering items right after the meeting.
