68th Annual Buzzard Day

Every March, Hinckley celebrates Buzzard Day, marking the return of turkey vultures and the arrival of spring. This annual tradition brings the community together with food, festivities, and a nod to the town’s history.

68th Annual Buzzard Day Recap

On March 16, 2025, thousands of visitors came through the Hinckley Preparatory Academy for the 68th Annual Buzzard Day celebration. Some came for all you can eat pancakes, some came for the infamous Buzzard Day sausage, some came to visit the craft fair that was packed full of amazing vendors and small businesses, but everyone came as a community. On this day, volunteers helped serve over 1,703 breakfasts, assisted vendors setting up and cleaning up in the craft fair, cooked food, ran pancakes, cleaned tables and dishes, brewed coffee, ran raffle events and much much more. We thank you Hinckley and the surrounding communities who come together to make this such a memorable event, year after year.
