2. APPROVAL OF June 2025 MINUTES – Vickie Getz 

Jim Bialosky made the motion to accept the minutes from June. Trish Strazar seconded the motion - Motion Approved

3. TREASURER REPORT - Denise Klag

Denise reported that we have $48,254.19 in checking. Our Budget for the following Programs/Items:

Hinckley Halloween $800.00

Hinckley Holidays $450.00

Buzzard Day 2026 $25,000.00

Scholarships 2026 $4,000.00

Annual Golf Outing 2026 $13,000.00

Donations $500.00

Expenses (Advertising, Insurance etc) $1,500.00

The Bank Statement is at each meeting and available for anyone who would like to see it.

4. COMMITTEE REPORTS

A.  Membership:  Mark Staron & Kati White (Kati will start in January)

There are still openings for this committee & they will be handling meet & greets.

Business Membership $150

Non-Profit Membership $75.00

Individual Membership $40.00

The following new members were welcomed: Exact Tool & Die, Inc., Trillium Creek Dermatology, CLE Roofing & Siding, Stallard & Associates, Inc.

B.   Social Media: Christina McVey-

Follow the Chamber so she can see what you are posting events about so we can share. Email Christina with info to post

            Meet the Members - send a short bio to Christina with what you want published in social media and on website.

The following are being added to the Chamber Website: Separate section for past events, Membership & Scholarship Applications and Chamber Store.

C. Hinckley Greeters:  Heather Liccardi –

Please bring business cards and/or information to be added to the Fosters Pizza Boxes to Heather. Thank you Eric Fredmonsky for supplying them with property transfer information.

D. Scholarship: Laura Baciu-

Scholarship applications go to Hinckley, Brunswick, & the Medina Career Center.

They are expanding to include all students in the Highland school district & Hinckley.

The application will also be on the Chamber Website.

They will have separate criteria for College & Trade School Students.

There was discussion about how to disperse the $4,000.00 for Scholarships.

After discussion, Mark Staron put the following motions up for a vote:

2-$1,500.00 Scholarship for College and 1-$1,000 for Trade School Students &

2-$1,000.00 Scholarships for College and 2-$1,000.00 Scholarships for Trade School Students.

The 2-$1,000.00 Scholarships for College and 2-$1,000.00 Scholarships for Trade School Students won and motion carried.

E. Donations:  Eric Lucius –

No requests.

F. Citizen of the Year:  Melissa Augustine- No report

5.  SPOTLIGHTING OUR MEMBERS

  Please see Nancy Mandilakis to be put on the speaker rotation.

          

Christina McVey was our speaker at our September meeting.  She is with Keller Williams and owns Pittie Cakes.

Christina works for Benesch Law Firm in Cleveland and has 23 years of litigation experience. She and her husband Jason rehab homes and on nights & weekends she bakes for her company Pittie Cakes.

Keller Williams handles Residential & Commercial Properties.  Their NEO Team has 45 years’ experience and does Comparative Market Analysis, Aggressive Marketing and uses drone technology.  She gives First Responders & Military discounts.

Christina started Pittie Cakes in 2019 to show pit bulls are fun and uses the proceeds to give back to help Community events.  Everything is custom order.  She does Cakes, Cupcakes, Oreos, Images & Seasonal Items.

 A.  Wine & Walk Outing! September 25, 2025 5pm-7pm at Weymouth Farms & Orchard

Must be 18 and over to attend.  There will be a tour of the orchard.  Wine & Slushies will be available for purchase.  This event is Free for members and spouses and $18.00 for non-members.  Each person/couple will receive a bag of apples & pears.   

B. Hinckley Halloween - Saturday October 25, 2025

Safety is our biggest concern. The signs helped slow cars down. Planning Meeting October 8, 2025, at :30pm at Fosters.

C. Hinckley Holidays - Saturday, December 6, 2025 (6:00pm-8:00pm)

ABBA dance would like to be more involved in this event.

D. Buzzard Day - March 15, 2026 (7:00am - 2:00pm)

Mark will be meeting with the manager of Hinckley Metroparks to expand Buzzard Day with the Metroparks.

  

8.   Announcements

Eric Fredmonsky announced that the Highland Foundation will be having their  Annual Fundraiser dinner at the Rock Hall in Cleveland on October 25, 2025, at 6:00pm-10:00pm.  Tickets are $199.00.  There will be a party bus from Hinckley leaving at 5:00pm.  They will also have valet parking and rooms available.  This is the Highland Foundations 25th year.

12:45pm: Kati White made the motion to adjourn and Melissa Augustine seconded, and the motion carried.
