2. APPROVAL OF January 2026 MINUTES – Vickie Getz

Jim Bialosky made the motion to accept the minutes from January.

3. TREASURER REPORT - Denise Klag

Denise reported that we have $41,629.47 in checking and $10,149.97 in Savings. The Bank Statement is always available to see.

Dues were due by December 15, 2025 for 2026. 

4. COMMITTEE REPORTS

A.  Membership:  Mark Staron & Kati White There are still openings for this committee.

Business Membership $150.00

Non-Profit Membership $75.00

Individual Membership $40.00

If you haven’t renewed for 2026, you will be removed from the Chamber Website.

Sign up Genius for Buzzard Day will be to the public on February 10. Allergens have been posted on the sign-up.

Please check your link on the website. If it isn’t working (it should take you to your business website) let Denise know. She went in and reset all of them.

C. Hinckley Greeters:  Heather Liccardi –

Greeter visits will resume in late March or early April 2026.

Hinckley Chamber Members can bring their advertising to Heather at a meeting.

D. Scholarship: Laura Baciu

Laura reported that there are 4-$1,000 Scholarships. 2–4-year College & 2- Trade Careers. March 15, 2026, is the deadline to turn in your application. February 11, 2026, the committee will meet at Coco Cafe at 12:00.

E. Donations: Linda Fussi

F. Citizen of the Year:  Melissa Augustine

Denise Klag gave an update and let us know they are seeking applications now. Jim Bialosky reported that the Citizen of the Year could be announced at a Trustee meeting or during the 4th of July Celebration. They would like to keep Memorial Day more solemn.

6.  SPOTLIGHTING OUR MEMBERS

Please see Nancy Mandilakis to be put on the speaker rotation for 2026.

Heather Liccardi from the Hinckley Women’s Club was our speaker for February.

Hether loves the water (she was a safety instructor, a lifeguard instructor trainer with the Red Cross and is a certified scuba diver), traveling & Hinckley. She was a teacher before she found her calling as a Special Education Transition Coordinator. Heather and her husband Dennis have a son, Keith. With his wife Pam, they have 5 children. Heather is a charter member of and started the Hinckley Women’s Club in 1981 after leaving Welcome Wagon International. The Hinckley Women’s Club is about Social/ Service/ Philanthropy. Heather passed out a sheet to everyone about measuring your Personal Integrity. The categories were Honest, Trustworthy, do what you said you’d do & finish what you start.

7. Old Business

A.  Buzzard Day - Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Hinckley Preparatory Academy (7:00am-2:00pm)

Next planning meeting is Wednesday, February 25th at 5:30 in the Board Room at Hinckley Town Hall.

Debriefing meeting is Wednesday, March 18th at 5:30 in the Board Room at Hinckley Town Hall.

The deadline for a free spot (you bring your own 6-foot table) for Chamber members is February 23rd-notify Allison Kuzma. There will be a table in the cafeteria for Business Cards.

To order 5-pound boxes of Sausage the deadline is February 10th.

Pre-Sale Breakfast Deadline is March 9th.

The Deadline to Sign up for Volunteering is March 12th.

The following suggestions were made: Have a Passport Stamp for each room and put the filled papers in for a raffle item, Greeter outside the rooms, & Name and Description of each room on the door. It was decided to table and discuss at the next Buzzard Day committee meeting.

B. 3rd Annual Golf Outing - Friday, May 15, 2026, at Valleaire Golf & Event Center (8am-4:30pm)

Planning meeting Wednesday, March 25 at 5:30 in the Board Room at Hinckley Town Hall.

C. Hinckley Halloween - Saturday, October 2026 (4:00pm-6:00pm)

D. Hinckley Holidays – Saturday, December 2026 (6:00pm-8:00pm)-

8.   New Business

Amanda Pfahl announced that the Highland Foundation Dinner will be held at the Galaxy in Wadsworth on November 14th. and that Coco Cafe will be doing a pop-up for their Scholarships on February 14th. There will be Raffles, Bakery, & Silent Auction Packages for purchase to raise money for their Scholarships.

9.   Announcements

Tax Update: Denise announced that we were registered as a 501C6 until 2018. Somehow it was switched to a 501C4. We need to change it back to a 501C6 and will have to pay back penalties.

Kati White made the motion that we pay the back penalties and change our status back to a 501C6 and be compliant with the State and Federal government. Lynne Rotundo seconded the motion. Motion Approved.

10. Motion to Adjourn

12:41pm: Lynne Rotundo made the motion to adjourn, and Ron Wayda seconded, and the motion was approved.
