-Ascherl “Studios” is misspelled
-Scholarship: “Chloe” is misspelled, Student high schools were switched (Chloe attends Hawken, Adalai attends Highland

5. TREASURER REPORT – Denise Klag
Denise reported that we have $50,121.29 in checking.
6. COMMITTEE REPORTS
A. Scholarship - Laura Baciu
Committee will review criteria for selection
Motion: Laura moved to raise the amount of scholarship money to at least $4,000. Denise seconded. Motion Passed.
B. Membership: Annetherese Biesiada & Mark Staron –
Annetherese and Christina McVey cited 3 new members:

Heather Liccardi reported we are in our 4th year now. Began 2025 monthly deliveries in April - about 20 per month. Bring
your advertising to HCC meetings and give to Heather.

F. Citizen of the Year: Melissa Augustine-
Melissa Augustine spoke of the history of CoTY.
Heather Liccardi introduced Mark Staron, Hinckley Citizen of the Year 2025.
Mark spoke of how he appreciates this honor.
G. SPOTLIGHTING OUR MEMBERS
Denise Klag will be spotlighted at the June 5th meeting. No spotlight speaker today.
7. Old Business
A. 2nd Annual Golf Outing-Friday, May 16, 2025, at Valleaire Golf & Event Center (8:00am-4:30pm)-
a. Register by May 9
b. Need 2 more sponsors - $150 per hole
c. Volunteers: Lunch is free, but you must register and pay for dinner
d. Chamber banner is printed for this and other HCC events
e. Meetings - May 14 (plan), May 28 (Debrief)
B. Hometown Heroes Banners - Options briefly discussed
8. New Business
A. Memorial Day - Chamber provides donuts through Hinckley Donut Shop
B. Christina reported that a suggestion box is now available for members
C. Need a volunteer to write a monthly paragraph for Hinckley Record
D. A buzzard costume is available for purchase online - $1400 or more
